Standing Firm When faced With Failure and Disappointment

The taste of success is sweet but the taste of failure is sour and utterly bitter. We all want to be consistently consistent in every field and be successful. However at some point of time, we are bound to face failure. It is natural that we face failure and disappointment along the way. At some point of time we are bound to fail no matter how brilliant or intelligent we are. It is inevitable and something which we cannot just avoid. But the focal point is not to repeat the same mistake and remain as a failure. Stringent efforts need to be implemented to overcome failure.

But how do we handle such hardships? Do we just give up without any further ado or try and be patient? Many people have committed untoward things when faced with failure and disappointment. Of course it is impossible to measure the disappointment and dejection of someone. But at the end of the day we need to realize that handling failure or hardship and standing firm on the solid ground is more important. Our life is at the summit of everything. How many times have we seen people commit suicide unable to handle the pressure and disappointment. In the Bible Philippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through him who strengthens me." We need to be a believer in God and also believe in ourselves. Nothing is possible with our own might. I consider myself a believer in Christ. Everyday I thank God for who I am. Nothing would have been possible without Him.

Sometimes we are left all alone. Even family members fail to understand our problems. It is suffocating and you feel like kicking and punching everything you see on our path. I have been in the same path. But at the end of the day, I know for sure that there is someone who loves me just for who I am. There is someone who is ever ready to listen to my burden and my failure. There is God.

Stay strong and be confident. Failure is a part of our life. All we need to do is rely on God and keep working hard at the same time. As the saying goes "The only man who never makes a mistake is the man who never does anything." We are not perfect and at some point of time we will stumble along the way. Lazy people never make any mistake. They are just like that- laugh at people and avoid looking at themselves. If we want to be successful, failure will also accompany us along the way. There should be enough room in ourselves to deal with it. Of course its not that we will fail or we won't succeed. We should try our best. But the point is, if any failure comes on our way, we should be strong enough to deal with it.

Matures believers will understand that they will be successful at some point of time in spite of failure because of God's amazing grace. I have many friends who are of the view that religions are nothing but a political propaganda. They are totally oblivious of the Almighty-the loving God. There are thousands of people fighting for their own vested interests in the name of religions. They are nothing but a pack of hungry wolves ready to devour on anything to satisfy their hunger. We should not fall prey to that and rule out religion as a kind of propaganda. Our God loves us and we should walk with him and talk with him. This involves putting complete faith in him and praying constantly. Achieved something wonderful? Praise God. Faces with failure? See God's help and he will raise you. Cast all your burdens unto Jesus and He will raise you up.

I am a student at present and sometimes I am left completely dejected with my performances. But at the end of the day, I know that its inevitable. I cannot just defend the indefensible. I rely on God to give me added motivations and the desire to fight more. I know I am not preaching that I have achieved in every field. I am also a normal human being and I stumble along the way. What I'm trying to say is that failure is part of our lives and we should deal with it with full confidence and not just give up easily.
