The profit was the second profit in three years and the largest since Roman Abramovich became the owner of the club in 2003. Chelsea are financially stable. Thanks to the world wide fan base and economic power. Chairman Bruce Buck said: "Going forward, we have ambitious plans to build a pioneering global commercial programme, partnering with innovative and market-leading organisations from around the world. In the era of FFP, we must progress commercially to continue the circle of success to invest in the team and get results."



On Thursday, 26 Feb 2015, Chelsea Football Club announced that The Yokohama Rubber Company Ltd will be the new Official Shirt Partner, the largest-ever commercial deal. This places Chelsea right at the top of European football, with one of the biggest shirt sponsorships ever signed. The deal is thought to be 40 million pounds per year.


Of course there is no denying the fact that Manchester United, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich are clearly ahead of Chelsea FC. Yet the massive success which they have achieved under Roman Abramovich and the talented young stars at the Chelsea Academy suggest that Chelsea FC have a long term plan. Success is guaranteed in the years to come. Jose Mourinho the most successful coach in the world returned from Real Madrid and there are talks of excitement everywhere. Manchester United are experiencing a setback with the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson which has paved the way for other clubs to pounch upon and take the advantage.
